
Oliver Kolker, actor and tango dancer.
He began dancing tango in 1997.
Like everyone else Oliver became obsessed with the dance. He began spending more and more time at the milongas and practices, dancing, taking lessons, and dancing.

He was lucky enough to learn with Horacio Godoy, Luis Solanas, Osvaldo Zotto, Roberto Herrera, Graciela Gonzalez, Carlos Copello and Carlitos Perez.
In 1999 Oliver began teaching at La Viruta, also known as La Estrella. His success there paved the way for him to teach and perform in different schools around Buenos Aires. Later he became the excecutive director of Mora Godoy School. Together with Mora, Oliver started "TANGO EMOCION", a great tango company. Together they toured all over Europe.
In 2002, Oliver entered the World Tango Championship Salon Category with his partner at that moment Andrea Gomez Corbalan, wining sixth place out of 250 couples. Oliver also entered the World Tango Championship Stage Category in 2004, with his then Dance partner, Veronica Palacios wining a spot in the finals.
In 2007 Oliver started performing and teaching with his new partner also in life, Silvina Valz. They have been touring all over the world, performing in different festivals such as: Portland Tango Festival, Tango Fantasy Miami, Chicago Tango Week, Chicago Mini Tango Festival, Tango Magic Seattle WA, Planetango Moscow Russia, Ann Arbor Tango Festival, just to name a few. Also together they’ve been teaching workshops all over the US and Europe.

Silvina Valz, born in Buenos Aires, is one of the young great Argentine tango dancers of her generation. Silvina’s dance incorporates elements from all styles of tango, such as Canyengue, Salon, Orillero, Milonguero and Escenico. She has studied and was formed in Buenos Aires by famous and world known tango masters such as Pepito Avellaneda, Gustavo Naveira, Carlos Gavito and Graciela Gonzalez, developing a sharp and deep knowledge of the art form not only as a performer but also a world wide known tango master/instructor.
Silvina is a dancer of the younger generation, known for her work with milonga master, Dany Garcia (El Flaco), professional tango dancer with over 60 years of experience.
Among a long list of professional accomplishments, her most personally revered have been her years teaching visually impaired and blind children to dance argentine tango at the National School of the Blind in Paris.
Silvina Valz has performed and thought tango/milonga extensively as a single instructor/performer all over the world including Europe, Japan, Buenos Aires, Russia and the United States.
Silvina has a unique and beautiful dance style, filled with humor and passion. Her teaching is clear and well structured. Her work is grounded in the classic styles of tango, and is also a bridge to the more modern styles.
For the last two years Silvina has been partnering with Oliver Kolker also a major master in argentine tango and milonga traspie. Together they’ve been performing and teaching all over the United States attending the most prestigious tango festivals in this country and in all the word.
Performing together with also great acting skills they danced for different dance companies and shows in New York City, such as the New Generation Dance Company at Symphony Space Center presenting the Show “ The Tango King” with famous tango dancer Carlos Copello, and for the Tango y Mas Company presenting the show Roxana’s Tango.
